LG showcases premium built-in kitchen range in Singapore
Mon, 5th Oct 2026 (Today)
LG Electronics Singapore presented its built-in kitchen range at a Singapore showcase with Michelin-starred Chef Son Jongwon, offering a media preview of the company's premium kitchen line-up.
The event paired LG's connected built-in appliances with a cooking demonstration led by Chef Son, the Executive Chef behind Seoul restaurants Eatanic Garden and L'Amant Secret. It was intended to show how the products fit into cooking, hosting and everyday home use.
Kitchen focus
The line-up on display included an induction hob, built-in oven, hood, microwave oven and refrigerator, all linked through LG's ThinQ platform.
Among the highlighted products, the LG Induction Hob offers up to 7.4kW across four zones, including two Flex Zones, and includes Hob Hood Activation. The LG Built-In Oven features 42 Auto Cook Programs, Full Steam technology and a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen.
LG's hood has a maximum airflow of 830m3/h, three suction levels, a boost function and two washable grease filters. The microwave oven includes Smart Inverter technology, Infrared Heating and Healthy Fry, while the InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator features Linear Cooling and an Auto Ice Maker.
The event also incorporated design pieces from Fritz Hansen, including works by Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm. Pieces highlighted included the Series 7, Egg and Swan chairs, as well as the PK80 and PK31.
Chef collaboration
Chef Son has worked with LG on regional activations and was presented as a user familiar with the company's built-in kitchen appliances. His participation was linked to LG's effort to connect its kitchen products with professional cooking techniques and presentation.
"As a chef, I value both precision and consistency. Working with LG has shown me how thoughtful technology and design can support the way we cook, while still allowing creativity and the character of the food to remain at the centre of the experience," said Chef Son Jongwon, Executive Chef, Eatanic Garden and L'Amant Secret.
LG positioned the event around the meeting point of Korean consumer technology and Korean culinary practice, presenting the kitchen as a central part of home life rather than simply a functional space.
"At LG, we believe the kitchen is one of the most meaningful spaces in the home," said Mr. Fabian Kunho Lee, Managing Director, LG Electronics Singapore. "It is where people come together, where creativity takes shape and where everyday meals can become lasting memories. Our collaboration with Chef Son Jongwon celebrates what becomes possible when world-class culinary craft meets intelligent, thoughtfully designed kitchen technology. We are delighted to bring this showcase to Singapore and share a more elevated vision of what the modern kitchen can be."
Wider context
The showcase reflects a broader push by appliance makers to position built-in kitchen products as part of a premium home design offering, combining cooking equipment with connected controls and coordinated interior styling. In this case, LG used a chef-led demonstration and curated furniture to frame the appliances within a lifestyle setting.
Singapore is a competitive market for home appliances, especially in the premium kitchen segment, where brands are trying to appeal to homeowners renovating apartments and landed properties. Built-in products have become a larger part of that competition as consumers look for integrated layouts and a more seamless look across cooking, ventilation and cold storage.
LG's full built-in kitchen range is available through its online brand store and major retail outlets in Singapore. The line-up includes the induction hob, built-in oven, hood, microwave oven and InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator.
