NetSuite Launches Ship Central to improve warehouse operations
Thu, 29th Sep 2022
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Oracle NetSuite has unveiled NetSuite Ship Central, a mobile application that helps organisations optimise operations, eliminate manual processes and accelerate customer deliveries. This solution equips warehouse workers with packing and shipping capabilities on a mobile or kiosk device.

“Now, more than ever, warehouse operations are under pressure to increase output without additional resources to do so,” says Evan Goldberg, founder and EVP, Oracle NetSuite.

“With NetSuite Ship Central, we are extending our capabilities to help customers further automate time-consuming warehouse operations to increase output and efficiencies. By making it easier to consolidate shipments, adjust shipping routes for cost efficiency, and customise workflows to meet business demands, Ship Central provides intelligence and insights to further optimise the fulfillment process, decreasing cost and increasing customer satisfaction.”

Ship Central provides end-to-end capabilities for picking, packing, and shipping products. It eliminates unnecessary steps in the preparation and shipping process, helping organisations track packages faster, determine the best carrier based on the delivery date or location, print shipping labels, and create documentation. The mobile application helps warehouse management optimise fulfilment processes and minimise shipping costs and transit times.

With NetSuite Ship Central, organisations can locate shipments easily. Warehouse workers can quickly find shipments that need to go out by scanning a carton, pallet, or order by selecting from a list of shipments reducing the time spent locating orders and information.

“As an item is scanned, the WMS mobile application immediately updates or creates the proper transaction and associated inventory data in NetSuite, providing transaction and inventory transparency across the entire organisation,” says Oracle NetSuite.

The application increases shipping efficiencies and lowers costs by identifying products going to a single location based on standard criteria, including address, carrier, or shipping route, by packing it all in the same shipment. In addition, the option to print labels, reprint damaged or missing labels at any point during shipment provides customers flexibility.

Ship Central offers customers a transparent experience by allowing them to track the precise location of products in real-time via carrier tracking numbers and the ability to modify workflows to support unique business needs.

NetSuite WMS and Ship Central offer warehouse operations across SKUs, processes, and locations. NetSuite WMS eliminates manual processes, enabling organisations to minimise handling costs, run warehouses more efficiently, and meet customer expectations.

“Eliminate the need to sync information between systems. As a suite of connected applications, NetSuite seamlessly communicates with inventory management, order fulfillment and manufacturing systems, ensuring all teams are working on the same, real-time information,” says Oracle NetSuite.
