RaveDAO has partnered with 808 Festival for the event's 2026 edition in Bangkok, linking a music community group with one of Thailand's best-known electronic dance festivals.
Under the arrangement, RaveDAO will support fan features tied to the festival, which is due to take place over two days at BITEC Bangkok. The event will include on-chain ticketing and digital receipts through PLVR, alongside card payment and Web3 checkout options.
Founded in 2013, 808 Festival has become one of Southeast Asia's more established electronic music events. It has previously staged editions at BITEC Bangkok, Live Park Rama 9, Show DC and Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya.
The 2026 edition is set to feature an international lineup spanning several strands of electronic music. Artists named in the first phase include ILLENIUM, W&W, Argy, Ben Nicky, Ian Asher, Mary Droppinz and RIVO. The bill also includes back-to-back sets from Adam Beyer and Chris Avantgarde, and from SLANDER and NGHTMRE.
For RaveDAO, the partnership adds to its live entertainment work across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. The group says it has brought together more than 100,000 attendees across its events and works with festivals, artists, organisers and local communities.
Fan model
The collaboration centres on digital tools designed to extend how festivalgoers interact with an event beyond the show days. The package will include fan rewards and loyalty features linked to purchases and attendance.
The approach reflects a broader push in live entertainment to test digital ticketing, ownership records and rewards systems as promoters seek new ways to retain audiences. While such systems have often been associated with crypto-focused projects, the inclusion of standard card payments suggests an effort to lower barriers for mainstream buyers.
"808 Festival has built one of the strongest electronic music communities in the region," said Ron Yung, Operations Lead at RaveDAO. "We're excited to support this year's edition and connect more fans with an experience that has become such an important part of Thailand's dance music scene."
Bangkok has become a regular stop for international electronic acts and large-format festivals, helping Thailand compete for touring shows and regional music tourism. Events such as 808 Festival draw audiences from across Southeast Asia as promoters look to capture demand for destination-led live experiences.
The festival's organisers framed the tie-up as an extension of its emphasis on community, saying the event has long focused on building a returning audience around major international bookings and large-scale production.
"808 has always been about bringing people together around music and creating an experience they remember," said Arsit Prachaseri, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of 808 Festival. "RaveDAO shares that community-first mindset, and we're looking forward to what we can build together this year."
RaveDAO describes itself as a Web3-native live entertainment collective that combines music, culture, creators and technology. Its activities include flagship music events, local chapters, artist collaborations and ecosystem partnerships.
The group also says it connects live events with digital ownership, rewards and token-based participation through its native token, known as $RAVE. Beyond music, it has used initiatives such as Rave for Light to support projects including cataract surgeries in Nepal and mindfulness programmes in the United States.
For 808 Festival, the partnership comes as it returns to BITEC Bangkok with another large international bill, reinforcing its place in Thailand's festival market after more than a decade in operation. The event has previously hosted acts including Hardwell, W&W and Armin van Buuren.
The use of PLVR for ticketing and receipts also points to a more direct role for specialist digital commerce providers in the festival sector, where operators are testing how payment systems, ticket records and rewards can be combined in a single purchase flow.
To date, RaveDAO says it has brought together more than 100,000 attendees across its events and worked with internationally recognised artists and partners across music, entertainment, lifestyle and Web3.
