Searchspring unveils dynamic custom profiles for retail
Searchspring has announced the launch of Dynamic Custom Profiles, a feature designed to enhance personalisation on ecommerce platforms using variable-based content.
These profiles enable merchants to provide shopper-specific recommendations by adjusting in real-time based on variables like search terms and customer attributes. This framework allows retailers to offer personalised product suggestions that evolve with the shopper's behaviour, negating the need for multiple manual configurations.
"Dynamic Custom Profiles represent a significant evolution in our personalisation capabilities," stated Kate Massey, Head of APAC at Searchspring. "By dynamically adjusting to each shopper on each page, we're expanding options for merchants and empowering them to create shopping journeys that feel truly individualised, which drives engagement and conversion. This feature makes it easier than ever for retailers to go beyond showing the right products at the right time, with minimal setup, to provide a truly personalised, responsive experience."
The tool allows retailers to create adaptable sections on various pages, such as product details, shopping carts, and homepages, updating recommendations each time a page loads. Examples include showcasing products by the same designer or automotive parts that match the shopper's selected vehicle.
Static and Dynamic Custom Profiles differ in their configurations. Static profiles use pre-configured filters and rules, generating results that update with changes in catalogue data.
They are set up in advance for specific pages like homepages or product detail pages.
Dynamic profiles, in contrast, provide real-time product recommendations tailored to user interactions. They adapt to search terms or filters, presenting options like additional colours of a product or related works by the same author or artist.
This approach enhances the personalisation of shopping experiences by utilising real-time data, offering a more engaging platform for online consumers.
The introduction of dynamic profiles also aims to streamline operations for retailers. It simplifies the setup by enabling a single profile to manage recommendations, removing the need for multiple static ones.
It enhances relevance by allowing highly personalised suggestions based on real-time shopper data.
With these automated recommendations, retailers can potentially save time on manual merchandising, enabling them to focus on other priorities. Searchspring suggests that this could lead to increased sales and improved customer satisfaction by creating a more responsive online shopping environment.
This development represents a significant addition to Searchspring's personalisation offerings, aiming to increase customer loyalty and drive sales through its targeted and adaptive recommendation capabilities.
