Zitcha appoints former News Corp executives to senior roles

Thu, 27th Jun 2024

Retail media platform Zitcha has announced the appointment of former News Corp executives Kate Marshall and Genevieve Cleaver to senior roles within its customer success team. This move comes amidst a period of global growth for the company.

Zitcha, which holds the largest market share for retail media networks in Australia and New Zealand, is investing in its customer success team to help its retailer and brand advertising partners fully utilise the platform’s capabilities. Chief revenue officer at Zitcha, Nick Hinsley, emphasised the importance of this investment.

“Customer success is about anticipating challenges and proactively delivering solutions to boost customer satisfaction and retention. This not only enhances revenue and loyalty, but also ensures our clients derive maximum value from our platform,” Hinsley said. “Investing in customer success is essential for Zitcha to continue leading the retail media industry, and we are delighted to welcome both Kate and Genevieve to our rapidly growing team.”

Marshall, who has been appointed as customer success director, will oversee Zitcha's portfolio of clients across international markets including the US, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. She joins from her previous role as digital director at News Corp and has significant eCommerce experience from her time at Amazon.

Marshall expressed her enthusiasm about joining the company. “Zitcha is a global retail media player, and as we continue to attract more partners to the platform, I look forward to working alongside them to drive even greater effectiveness and efficiencies for their marketing investment,” she said.

Cleaver will take on the role of customer success lead for Zitcha across the APAC region. She previously worked as digital client growth and capability manager at News Corp and has experience in performance media from her tenure at global media agency Wavemaker.

Cleaver highlighted the potential for growth in the Southeast Asia market. “In Australia and New Zealand, Zitcha has already established a market-leading presence. The wider Southeast Asia market presents exciting new opportunities for retail media and I can’t wait to support our customers as they embark on and expand their retail media journeys,” she said.

Both appointments are based in Sydney and follow Zitcha’s recent collaboration with the retail media arm of MixIn by Endeavour to manage its off-site media. In a related development, Josh Forsyth has recently joined Zitcha as APAC sales lead.
