ALGA Group has added a Chinese-language option to its My O! super app, extending the interface to a fourth language.

The update allows Chinese-speaking users in Kyrgyzstan to use the platform in Chinese alongside Kyrgyz, Russian and English. My O! combines services across connectivity, banking, payments and shopping in a single app.

The move follows growth in the number of Chinese users registering in Kyrgyzstan. It also comes as Chinese companies expand their presence in the country and economic links between Kyrgyzstan and China deepen.

Bilateral trade between Kyrgyzstan and China reached USD $27.2 billion in 2025, according to figures cited by the group. ALGA linked the language rollout to broader growth in trade, investment, infrastructure cooperation and cross-border activity between the two countries.

Customer shift

My O! is central to the group's consumer digital offering. Through the app, users can access services from across ALGA Group's businesses, including telecommunications, banking, payments, eCommerce and other digital products.

ALGA described the Chinese-language option as a response to changes in its customer base. The addition is intended to make the app easier to navigate for Chinese-speaking users living or working in Kyrgyzstan.

The broader backdrop is a fast-growing Kyrgyz economy. The country's economy expanded by 11.1% in real terms in 2025 after growth of 11.5% in 2024, according to figures cited by the group.

That growth has been supported by consumption and investment, while Kyrgyzstan has become more connected to regional and international markets. As a result, demand for local digital services is changing as more foreign businesses and users enter the market.

Digital ecosystem

ALGA Group operates across several parts of Kyrgyzstan's digital economy, spanning mobile telecommunications, fixed and wireless broadband, financial services, mobile payments, eCommerce and online marketplaces.

My O! serves as the main consumer gateway to that wider ecosystem. The app is supported by the O! telecommunications network, which underpins services across connectivity, financial products, payments and commerce, according to the group.

O!Bank, the group's digital banking business, is part of that structure. It provides services to individuals and businesses in Kyrgyzstan, including payments, lending and everyday banking products through digital channels.

In a statement, Chief Executive Officer Dmitriy Zaika framed the language launch as a practical response to growing internationalisation in the domestic market.

"Kyrgyzstan is becoming increasingly connected to international markets, and we are seeing that reflected in our customer base. Introducing Chinese language to My O! is a practical step to make our services more accessible to a growing group of users and ensure the platform continues to evolve with their needs," said Dmitriy Zaika, Chief Executive Officer, ALGA Group.

The rollout highlights how digital service providers in smaller emerging markets are adapting products for more diverse user groups as trade patterns shift. In Kyrgyzstan, this appears particularly visible in services used daily for communications, payments and retail transactions.

For ALGA Group, adding Chinese also points to the role of language support in retaining users within a single platform that combines several essential services. As competition grows across telecoms, finance and commerce, ease of access within an app can influence how often customers use those services.
