Cyara has appointed Ben Corser as General Manager and SVP, Go-to-Market for Asia-Pacific, adding regional leadership as it expands across APAC.

Corser joins the Melbourne-founded customer experience technology company from NiCE. He will lead Cyara's APAC business and go-to-market strategy, including customer and partner relationships across the region.

The appointment comes as Cyara seeks to deepen its presence in what it describes as one of its most important growth markets. The company says several large Australian organisations already use its platform, including two of the Big Four banks, two of the country's three national mobile network operators and the largest supermarket retailer.

Corser brings experience from a range of global technology groups across the region. Before joining Cyara, he held senior roles at NiCE and previously worked at Matterport, SAP, EMC, Nokia and Microsoft.

His background includes leading cloud and software organisations in Asia-Pacific, building regional teams, developing partner networks and overseeing growth and transformation programs for enterprise technology businesses.

Regional focus

The hire underscores Cyara's focus on Australia as both its home market and a base for broader regional expansion. The company is positioned around the testing, monitoring and governance of AI agents and customer journeys used in customer service environments.

That market is drawing greater attention as businesses move AI systems from pilot projects into live customer interactions. As they do, companies are facing questions about quality, compliance and whether automated agents behave as intended in production.

Cyara says more than 450 enterprises use its products. It also says it works across multiple customer contact channels, major cloud contact centre providers and more than 55 AI agent vendors.

Sushil Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Cyara, linked the appointment to that broader shift in enterprise demand. "Australia is where Cyara began, and it remains an incredibly important market for our business. We see a significant opportunity to deepen our investment here and across APAC as enterprises rethink how they deploy and govern AI in customer-facing environments."

He added: "Ben brings the regional experience, customer focus and go-to-market leadership we need for this next chapter. His appointment is an important step in strengthening our relationships with customers and partners and expanding Cyara's presence across the region."

Experience base

Corser takes up the role as companies across Asia-Pacific weigh how to operationalise AI in customer-facing functions without increasing risk. In sectors such as banking, telecommunications and retail, businesses are under pressure to balance speed of adoption with oversight.

His move from NiCE, a well-known supplier of customer engagement and contact centre technology, is notable in a market where software vendors are competing to define how AI is managed in service operations.

Cyara's pitch to customers centres on proving AI systems are ready before deployment, then checking live interactions for quality and compliance after launch. That places the company in a part of the market focused less on creating AI agents and more on validating and monitoring them.

Corser pointed to trust as a key issue for businesses expanding AI use in customer service. "Enterprises across APAC are moving quickly to put AI into real customer interactions, but scaling that technology requires more than innovation - it requires trust."

"Cyara has a unique opportunity to help organizations prove their AI agents and customer journeys are ready for the real world. I'm excited to build on Cyara's roots in Australia, work even more closely with our customers and partners, and expand the company's impact throughout APAC," he added.

The appointment also highlights continued hiring and leadership investment in Australia by technology companies with regional ambitions. For Cyara, founded in Melbourne, placing an APAC commercial lead in the local market signals that it sees domestic enterprise demand as central to its next phase of growth.

In practical terms, Corser's role is likely to include sales strategy, partner development and regional execution as customer service teams adopt more AI-driven tools. It will also place him at the centre of conversations with enterprises seeking ways to test and oversee AI agents before and after deployment.

Cyara says the appointment is intended to strengthen relationships with customers and partners and broaden the company's reach across Asia-Pacific.
