Equativ has announced the appointment of Rueben Vijaratnam as the new Managing Director for South-East Asia. The decision is aimed at bolstering the ad platform's demand-focused strategy in the region. With a wealth of experience in sales and digital marketing, Rueben brings a significant level of expertise to his new role.

Rueben's background in the industry includes six years at Yahoo, where he was involved in digital sales and marketing. He later spent two years at Oath, contributing to strategic initiatives that led to a notable increase in demand and revenue. His most recent position was at Quantcast, where he spent five years leading demand generation efforts, which resulted in substantial market expansion.

Rueben expressed his enthusiasm about joining Equativ: "I am excited to be joining Equativ at a very interesting point in our journey. The recent merge with Sharethrough springboards Equativ into a new level in the company's global ambitions, and curation is becoming an ever more important solution to the challenges facing brands who are navigating the digital world today. We look forward to growing the Singapore office and expanding our footprint in South-East Asia with existing and new partners and to truly deliver the promise of Adtech in this region."

Throughout his career, Rueben has shown a notable capability to recognise and address market needs effectively. This background is expected to bring significant benefits to Equativ as the company continues to innovate and expand its offerings. Rueben's "Demand Leadership" expertise is seen as particularly valuable in this context.

Equativ believes that Rueben's strategic vision and leadership will drive the SEA team to new levels of success. The company views these leadership changes as crucial for their APAC Business Unit, indicating a commitment to continuous improvement and growth.

Cline Gauthier-Darnis, EVP MENA & APAC at Equativ, commented on the appointment: "I am confident that with Rueben as a leading figure, we will solidify our supply position as a key player in the region, accelerate and scale our ambitions with Demand by achieving success and exceeding expectations."
