Pat Copeland joins Moloco to lead machine learning efforts

Pat Copeland has been appointed as the General Manager of Moloco Commerce Media, bringing over three decades of experience in machine learning, advertising, and enterprise software.

In his new role, Copeland is expected to lead the strategic initiatives, product innovation, and customer engagement efforts at Moloco Commerce Media (MCM), a division focused on the activation of retail media networks using advanced machine learning. Copeland previously held leadership positions at Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Zendesk, and his expertise is expected to be crucial as Moloco aims to expand its machine learning-powered advertising solutions.

Copeland's tenure at Amazon saw him involved in the launch and development of Sponsored Brands, an advertising platform that became highly profitable and leveraged AI to enhance ad relevance and performance. Speaking about his new position, Copeland noted, "I'm thrilled to join Moloco at this pivotal moment in its evolution. What drew me to Moloco is its groundbreaking use of machine learning to unlock real performance for customers. The shift towards digital commerce offers significant opportunities as retailers and marketplaces integrate more online capabilities. Consequently, tech solutions like those provided by Moloco Commerce Media are becoming increasingly essential. The company offers tools that predict consumer behaviour and personalise advertisements, which aims to enhance the consumer shopping experience and add value for both retailers and advertisers.

Moloco Commerce Media's clients include global companies such as Wayfair, Yogiyo, and Bucketplace, using the platform to enhance results and foster customer loyalty. The platform supports over 100,000 advertisers worldwide and recently onboarded more than 10,000 new advertisers in a single day.
