Silicon Valley veteran Anthony Lye named CEO of Quid

Thu, 26th Sep 2024

Quid has announced the appointment of Anthony Lye as its new Chief Executive Officer. The Silicon Valley veteran takes the helm at the AI customer and market intelligence platform with immediate effect.

Anthony Lye is replacing Peter Caswell, who has served as CEO for over 13 years. Lye, who is recognised for his ability to lead high-performing teams and drive transformative strategies, comes from a position as CEO of Amplience. This AI-driven content company works with over 400 leading brands. Lye also held the role of Global Head of the Apollo and Product Led Growth Business Unit at Palantir Technologies, a premier enterprise AI software company.

Quid is in the process of expanding its mission as an AI company designed to empower its clients to sell more products, manage crises, and accelerate revenue growth. The platform, which provides customer and market intelligence, is already trusted by a third of Fortune 500 organisations. It aims to continue on its path of growth and innovation by enhancing its AI capabilities. This includes delivering custom metrics and both qualitative and quantitative AI summaries through new innovations, including a Chat Agent.

Former CEO Peter Caswell has decided to step down to allocate more time to his family but will remain with the business for an undetermined period to ensure a smooth transition. Reflecting on his tenure, Caswell stated, "It is bittersweet to be stepping down as CEO. In 13 happy years at Quid, I've seen our revenues grow 200X and overseen the development of an excellent team of committed professionals. I'm very proud of all we've achieved. At the same time, I am honoured to be passing on the baton to Anthony - he's hugely admired for his wealth of experience in the technology industry, and I have no doubt he will be a great success in leading this fantastic company."

Anthony Lye remarked on his new role, saying, "I am truly honoured to join Quid at such a pivotal and exciting time. Working with an exceptional team who are passionate about transforming businesses through the power of multiple AI technologies, I look forward to empowering sales, marketing and customer service people across the world through our market-leading solutions. I can't wait to work alongside this talented team and embark on this journey together."

Through his previous roles, Lye has demonstrated a strong track record in leveraging technology to solve complex problems and driving digital transformation for businesses globally. Apart from his tenure at Amplience and Palantir Technologies, he has served as the Executive Vice President and General Manager at NetApp, where he significantly grew the revenues of the Cloud Business Unit. Lye has also held senior executive positions at Oracle, Remedy, and HotSchedules. He is currently an Operating Advisor to Bessemer Venture Capital and on the Board of Trustees for the University of Bath in the UK, where he studied Engineering. Lye has also served on the board of Directors for Spoken Communications, an AI-centric cloud-hosted conversation platform acquired by Avaya.

The leadership change takes place at a time when Quid is making substantial advancements in deploying AI technologies to assist its clients. The company continues to build on its innovative platform designed to translate vast amounts of structured and unstructured data into actionable insights. This move aims to further solidify Quid's position within the fast-evolving landscape of AI-driven market intelligence.
