Revolut has launched its Ultra subscription tier in Singapore, its highest-tier offering in the market.

Priced at S$899 a year or S$89.99 a month, Ultra combines travel, lifestyle, investing and everyday benefits that Revolut says are worth more than S$10,000 a year. The plan sits above its existing Premium and Metal tiers and includes a platinum-plated World Elite Mastercard debit card.

The launch adds a higher-end option to Singapore's crowded market for premium banking and payments products, where traditional banks have long tied top-tier perks to income thresholds, assets under management or credit requirements. Revolut is positioning Ultra instead as a paid membership available through its app.

Research commissioned by Revolut from YouGov found that 64% of respondents in Singapore had been excluded from premium banking because they did not meet minimum income requirements. The finding points to demand from entrepreneurs, consultants, creators and other customers whose earnings may not fit standard payroll models.

Subscription bundle

A large part of Ultra is a bundle of third-party subscriptions that Revolut says has a retail value of more than S$6,000 a year. It includes foodpanda's pandapro, Financial Times Premium Digital, MasterClass, NordVPN Complete, Headspace, ClassPass, The Athletic, Tinder Gold, Super Duolingo and WeWork credits, among others.

The package also includes merchant vouchers from Shopee, Grab and Amazon, alongside access to Mastercard World Elite benefits. Customers can use the perks across dining, entertainment and travel.

Travel focus

Travel features are another central part of the plan. Ultra users get access to more than 1,600 airport lounges worldwide and airport fast-track passes at more than 180 airports, according to Revolut.

Customers also receive 5GB of global data each month through an eSIM covering more than 100 countries. Ultra members can make unlimited international transfers without additional fees, exchange more than 35 currencies without additional fees and withdraw up to S$3,500 a month from overseas ATMs without Revolut fees.

Insurance cover is included, with personal accident benefits of up to S$1 million, overseas travel medical benefits of up to S$1 million, trip inconvenience protection of up to S$10,000 and personal baggage protection of up to S$5,000. Other travel-related benefits include access to the Avis President's Club and a HoteLux membership with hotel booking privileges.

Investment tools

Revolut is also using Ultra to broaden the appeal of its investment products in Singapore. Users on the plan get its lowest money market fund fee of 0.10% and access to precious metals trading with fees from 0.49%, subject to a minimum fee of S$1.49.

The move reflects a broader pattern among fintech groups trying to increase revenue per customer by packaging financial services with travel and digital lifestyle products. Subscription income can provide a steadier revenue stream than interchange fees or transactional income alone, while bundled services may give customers more reason to keep using an app as their primary financial account.

For consumers, the key question will be whether the price can be justified by actual use of the included services. Many of the benefits are most relevant to frequent travellers or customers who already pay for several digital subscriptions, meaning the value proposition may depend more on individual habits than headline totals.

Revolut says it now serves more than 75 million customers worldwide. The launch in Singapore suggests it sees room to expand further into the premium end of the market in Asia, even as incumbent banks retain strong positions among affluent customers.

"Ultra represents a shift in how premium financial services are accessed. Entrepreneurs, creators, consultants and globally minded professionals deserve premium experiences without outdated qualification hurdles. With Ultra, we're redefining luxury as a subscription-transparent, predictable and instantly accessible. We've brought together over S$10,000 in annual value across travel, lifestyle, investing and everyday benefits in one membership, designed around how our customers actually live. Singapore's globally connected, ambitious community expects financial products to keep pace with their lifestyles. Ultra gives customers greater freedom to live, travel and build wealth on their own terms," said Raymond Ng, Chief Executive Officer, Revolut Singapore and Southeast Asia.
