Topsort appoints umer paracha as new Head of Marketing

Topsort has appointed Umer Paracha as its new Head of Marketing, the company announced. Umer brings over ten years of expertise in eCommerce, digital transformation, and retail media.

Throughout his career, Umer has held leadership roles in various industries. Notably, he served as Director of Digital Marketing at Daraz.pk, where he was instrumental in scaling South Asia's largest marketplace, driving daily orders from zero to 10,000. This growth led to the platform's acquisition by Alibaba in 2018. He also served as Director of eCommerce & Growth at Lansinoh Laboratories, a maternal health consumer goods brand, where he contributed to the company's eCommerce expansion, growing its business from USD $40 million to over USD $90 million through omni-channel marketing strategies and data-driven retail media tactics. In addition, Umer played a key role at QIAGEN, a global biotech company, leading the transformation of traditional manual ordering systems into eCommerce-first platforms.

His appointment follows Topsort's recent strategic partnership with Moloco, a leader in operational machine learning and performance advertising, as well as the company's USD $20 million Series A funding round aimed at scaling its clean advertising platform. The funding, valuing the company at USD $150 million, was led by Upload Ventures and included returning seed round investors Quiet Capital and Pear Ventures.
